The US State Department has announced a reward of up to $10 million for information leading to the identity or location of individuals involved in foreign interference in US elections. This is stated in a statement by the State Department's Rewards for Justice program, Voice of America reports.
In particular, this concerns employees of Rybar LLC (also known as Rybar and the Rybar Project), a Russian media group that was previously financed by the late businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin.
The report says that Rybar currently receives support from the Rostec corporation, which is under US sanctions. Rybar is accused of disseminating propaganda aimed at promoting pro-Russian and anti-Western ideas and attempting to destabilize the political situation in the United States.
Thus, as stated in the Rewards for Justice message, in the run-up to the 2024 US presidential election, “Rybar” launched the TEXASvsUSA channel on the X social network, in which he exploits the politically and socially sensitive topic of illegal migration across the Texas border.
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000“Through the TEXASvsUSA channel, “Rybar” sought to sow discord, promote social division, incite partisan and racial hatred, and encourage hatred and violence in the United States,” the message states.
"Fisherman" also operates the propaganda media channels #HOLDTHELINE and #STANDWTHTEXAS, which promote Russia's political interests in the United States, the program's announcement said.
The announcement named several people who are allegedly involved in operations to influence the U.S. election process:
- Vladimir Berkutov (TEXASvsUSA),
- Alexander Kan (head of the video department),
- Tatiana Kosterova (head of the foreign language department),
- Olga Kuznetsova (regional manager for "Rybar"),
- Maxim Matveyev (designer and head of the content team),
- Alexander Minin (head of the content department at TEXASvsUSA),
- Valentina Minina (TEXASvsUSA),
- Mikhail Zvinchuk (director of the company “Rybar”),
- Valeria Zvinchuk (creative director of “Rybar”).
The US State Department has called on anyone with information about “Rybar” or persons associated with it to contact the program through a special channel in Tor.
