The UN Secretary General urged the Russian Federation and Ukraine not to conduct military operations in the ZNPP area

UN Secretary-General António Guterres spoke at a meeting of the UN Security Council and called on Russia and Ukraine to stop hostilities in the area of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

Guterres called on the parties to “undertake an obligation not to conduct any hostilities” in this district. This is reported by RIA-Novosti.

“As a first step, Russian and Ukrainian forces must commit themselves not to conduct any military operations in the direction of the station or from the territory of the nuclear power plant. The Zaporozhye facility and its environs should not be a target or a platform for military operations,” Guterres said.
