Uma Thurman to star in film adaptation of 'Red, White & Royal Blue'

American actress and Quentin Tarantino's muse Uma Thurman will play US President Ellen Claremont in the romantic comedy Red, White & Royal Blue. The film is based on the adult novel of the same name by Casey McQuiston, according to Deadline.

The main character of the picture will be the son of Clairmont & # 8211; Alex Claremont-Diaz (Taylor Zahar), who has become a national celebrity since his mother was elected president. Attractive, smart, charismatic, – just a godsend for the White House PR service. Alex, however, does not get along with Britain's Prince Henry (Nikolas Golitsyn). Photos get into the media, in which the prince and the president's son quarrel – and this leads to a deterioration in relations between the two countries and it is clear that it is time to do something. The film will be the feature debut of Tony Award-winning playwright Matthew Lopez, who also wrote the screenplay for the film.

Uma Thurman is a Golden Globe winner and an Oscar and Emmy nominee.

Red, White & Royal Blue will start filming this June year in the UK. It will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
