Ukrainians will be able to book their desired autonomous vehicle: how to use the service and how much it costs

A new service has appeared in Ukraine for motorists – the possibility to choose and reserve a license plate for a vehicle with the desired combination of numbers through “Diya”.

This is about&nbsp ;on the website of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is noted that this can be done in the Driver's Electronic Cabinet in the Electronic Services section.

"We continue to make public services more accessible. Reforming state services even during the war — possible. And this is another step towards the implementation of the online vehicle re-registration service in the future", — emphasized the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko.

Yes, earlier it was possible to choose a license plate among paid combinations, paying from 4,800 to 36,000 hryvnias. Other autonomous meters were issued free of charge, but randomly. Now the service of choosing among free autonomers is also available, however, you need to pay UAH 360 to reserve specific numbers.

Before visiting a specific service center, you can see what free license plates are available, choose and reserve them.

How does it work?

Log in to the driver's electronic account via banking, Diya.Signature or electronic signature. After that, reserve a ready-made number plate and pay the amount. It will wait there for up to 10 days until it is attached to a certain vehicle.

New features include the ability to select a specific region in Ukraine, choose a service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the type of vehicle, where you can view all available combinations of license plates in in real time.

Service reservations can be made for various types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, buses, trailers, semi-trailers, motorcycles and mopeds. Only one license plate can be ordered per vehicle.

If the customer of the reservation does not apply for the re-registration service within 10 calendar days, the reservation will be canceled automatically. This allows other users to choose this number plate for their vehicle.

After booking, you will be able to receive the reserved number plate at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where it is stored, along with the procedure for registering or re-registering your vehicle.< /p>

The estimated cost of the online service includes:

• 360 UAH for the desired combination of numbers or from 4,800 to 36,000 UAH for certain combinations of numbers (depends on the customer's choice),
• possible payment system or bank commission.

Then the following payments are paid separately:

• 10.8 each UAH for each day of reservation of a license plate (maximum — 10 days);
• about UAH 300 for a license plate (special metal product, the price depends on the region and the type of vehicle),
• UAH 200 for the administrative service of vehicle registration/re-registration at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs; UAH 312 for the vehicle registration certificate form; payment system or bank commissions are possible.

Number plates are attached to the car only during the registration process with the vehicle. The car owner will receive a new vehicle registration certificate and license plates at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where they were booked.
