Access to “VKontakte” for Ukrainians is limited after the decision of ex-President Petro Poroshenko, who imposed sanctions on the social network. Because of this, users from Ukraine were forced to use applications to bypass the blocking, but the developers were able to ensure that the need for VPN services disappeared. This result was achieved by improving the proxy. To use the VK application without restrictions, Ukrainians just need to install a fresh update from the AppStore or Play Market online store.

At the same time, the desktop version of VKontakte is still available to residents of Ukraine only when the VPN is activated.
