Ukrainian woman develops app for sports and rehabilitation

Ukrainian youth continues to develop, despite the conditions of a full-scale war. Teenagers create solutions to the challenges they face because of this.

At the international competition World Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge, Yulia Tkachenko, together with a team of Ukrainian developers, presented an innovative mobile application “OUTEX”, which helps in sports and rehabilitation. 24 Channel writes about this with a link to the MAN website.

She wanted to help people

Yulia initially planned to create a fitness bracelet for athletes, but later the concept was transformed into a mobile application with advanced capabilities.

I suggested adding rehabilitation functions, since I myself had a knee injury and was unable to complete the recovery due to the war. Many people, including military personnel, are currently in need of rehabilitation, and we wanted to help them, – explained Yulia.

What is “OUTEX”

This is an application that uses artificial intelligence to analyze the user's movements. The neural network identifies key points on the body, evaluates the correctness of the exercises and provides feedback, helping to improve technique.

The application is aimed at two main groups:

  • People who want to do sports anywhere and anytime.
  • Those who need rehabilitation but do not have access to specialized centers.

Planning to add new features

The team is actively working on adding new sports exercises. The next step will be the integration of rehabilitation programs for people recovering from injuries.
