In Poland a Ukrainian attacked policemen with a knife and injured them. Law enforcement officers used weapons. Ukrayina.Pl reports.

The attack was committed on Thursday, 8 September, in Tomaszow Lubelski. Law enforcement officers received a call about a man lying on the sidewalk on Kosciuszko Street. When the police tried to pick him up, he took out a knife and attacked them.

One of the security officials took out a gun and shot the attacker in the leg. This allowed him to be restrained.

The attacker turned out to be a 24-year-old citizen of Ukraine. He and the policemen whom he wounded were taken to the hospital. One of the officers was slightly injured and was discharged. The second was transferred to a clinic in Lublin due to a serious hand injury.

24-year-old The Ukrainian was charged with attempted murder of policemen and assault on officials with the use of weapons. In Poland, life imprisonment is provided for this.
