Ukraine is developing its own analogues of the DJI Mavic, the Ministry of Strategic Industries announced. According to the head of the department, Herman Smetanin, as of November 2024, Ukrainian developers have already created a dozen such models.
Testing of these new products from eight domestic manufacturers was carried out on November 9. Of these, two companies received all the necessary certifications. This will allow the Ministry of Defense to purchase relevant products.

Smetanin emphasized that in the short term Ukrainian drones will not be able to fully replace the entire fleet of DJI Mavics currently in use. However, Ukraine seeks to reduce dependence on foreign supplies and strengthen domestic production.
– This will make it possible to leave significant funds in the national economy, – the official noted.
Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov stated the realism of achieving the target of assembling 1 million drones by the end of this year.
