“Forever-forever” is the debut feature film of director Anna Buryachkova, received an award for an exciting story and masterful images.
This film is a love song dedicated to the confused teenagers of the late 90s, who grew up among the post-Soviet ruins, well learning the rule: if no one loves you, you will not survive, Buryachkova noted.
The plot of the film reflects the fragile world of despair that surrounds the young heroes. The story of a love triangle is formed in an almost apocalyptic post-Soviet setting, and the characters evolve in this process of growing up, immersed in the challenges of self-education and survival in a world of uncertainty. The heroes seek protection and belonging at any cost, self-sabotaging any chance for love and connection.
The film starred young Ukrainian actors and actresses Alina Cheban, Zakhar Shadrin, Artur Aliyev, Elizaveta Tsylyk, Daria Zhikharska. The role of the main character's mother was played by actress Dasha Malakhova. The film will be released nationally on November 21, 2024.
