Ukrainian developers presented the domestic Spear combat module with an automatic grenade launcher

The fighters of the 40th separate coastal defense brigade of the Ukrainian Navy are actively using the BMP-1TS, equipped with the combat module «Spear», to effectively destroy the Russian invaders. The Ukrainian military notes the high accuracy of fire, which allows strikes to be carried out even while moving, reports Defence Express.

«Spear» — Ukrainian combat module with an automatic cannon of 30 mm caliber. It is installed on light armored fighting vehicles (APCs, BMPs, etc.) or floating vehicles. The module is equipped with a 30-mm 2A72 (ZTM-1 or KBA-1) cannon with 300 shells, a 30-mm KBA-117 (AGS-17) automatic grenade launcher with 125 grenades, a 7.62-mm KT-7.62 machine gun and a “Barrier” guided weapons complex with two missiles.

According to the gunner with the call sign “Donetsk”, the BMP-1TS fire control system allows you to automatically determine the optimal firing angle after measuring the distance to the target. It is also equipped with a stabilizer that maintains the aiming at the object even when moving, which significantly increases the effectiveness of combat.

Although the presented BMP-1TS does not have ATGMs, the military confirms that if necessary, it can be quickly retrofitted with anti-tank guided missiles. This makes the vehicle even more versatile and threatening to the enemy.
