Ukrainian developers have invented a unique system for intercepting Russian FPV drones

Forbes reports: the Ukrainian team Ptashka Drones has developed a unique system that allows you to shoot down enemy drones using nets.

The technology uses a 9 mm cartridge and a spring-loaded trigger mechanism that fires a net with four metal ball loads that open it in flight. The net is stored in a container printed on a 3D printer and has an area of about 3 square meters, allowing it to capture larger drones.

The system can be installed on any drone without changing the design. Its weight — is about 373 grams, the effective range of the shot is up to 10 meters, and hitting the net usually leads to the enemy drone falling quickly. The innovative approach allows not only to neutralize, but also capture enemy equipment for intelligence gathering.

It is noteworthy that following the example of Ptashka Drones, the Russian military has also begun to use drones capable of releasing nets to combat heavy drones.
