Ukrainian developers have integrated a fragmentation mine into a ground drone

Ukrainian military invented an innovative method of using Soviet mines OZM-72. They integrated mines with unmanned ground vehicles (UGV). This technology allows you to use mines as offensive weapons, which significantly enhances the capabilities on the battlefield.

As is known, OZM-72 — it is a Soviet fragmentation mine of the jumping type, which is traditionally used for defensive purposes. When activated, it jumps approximately 1 meter into the air and explodes.

It scatters debris over a large area, making it effective against infantry. It is usually detonated using mechanical fuses of the MUV series or pressure fuses such as MVN-2M.

The Ukrainian military has adapted OZM-72 mines for use with UGVs, turning them into improvised explosive devices. In this configuration, the mine is launched toward enemy positions, similar to a mortar round, and explodes on impact.
