Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that Ukraine will continue to work to ensure that Russia is recognized as a sponsor of terrorism. Kuleba said this on the air of the telethon.
"We demanded, we demand and we will demand the recognition of Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism. Just because the Biden administration is now unprepared to make such a decision does not mean it will never be made. We will work to ensure that Russia is recognized for who it really is”, – said the minister.
Kuleba added that starting from February 24, various requests were repeatedly denied to Ukraine, but then decisions were still made.
He recalled that this concerned both weapons and sanctions.
Dmitry Kuleba expressed his conviction that work with the United States in this direction will continue.
"We will not back down and will insist on our own. Because that would be the right thing to do”, – he said.
Before that, the White House stated that the inclusion of the Russian Federation in the list of countries sponsoring terrorism could have unforeseen consequences, including – delay food exports.
Kuleba, in turn, gave the example of Iran, which is on the list of terrorist countries and yet participates in negotiations with the US and the EU.
" ;As you can see, one does not interfere with the other", – said Kuleba.
Earlier, BAGNET wrote that White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that the decision not to include Russia in the list of countries sponsoring terrorism – final.
