Ukraine returned 50 defenders from captivity (video)

On Sunday, January 8, Ukraine and Russia held another prisoner exchange – the first in 2023. This was reported by Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President.

Another successful exchange of prisoners. We returned home 50 of our soldiers. These are the guys from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Troop , NSU, GNSU, Navy, as well as MTR. 33 officers and 17 privates and sergeants.

We return people captured at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, as well as the defenders of Mariupol, guys from the Donetsk direction from near Bakhmut, as well as from the Kiev region, Chernihiv region, Kherson region and other regions where the fighting continued.

It is worth noting that in November 2022 the exchange of prisoners of war with Russia intensified.&nbsp On November 3,          Ukrainian defenders were returned from captivity,                                      50, and on the 26th –  12.

On December 1, Kiev exchanged  50 Ukrainian fighters, on the 6th –  60, on the 14th –  64, and on the 31st – 140 defenders.
