Ukraine is improving its home-made “Neptune” missiles so that they can reach Moscow and other remote regions of Russia.

According to the publication's source, Ukraine has plans to strike Moscow and other objects inside Russia using variants of the Neptune missile modified for ground-class ammunition. land”. According to a Ukrainian official, the attack on the Russian S-400 air defense system in the area of ​​the village of Olenivka on Cape Tarkhankut on August 24 “was carried out by a modified Neptune”.

The modified Neptune is launched from the same launcher, which is the same as the anti-ship variant, but has a range of about 400 km and a payload of about 350 kg.

Of the shortcomings of the modernized equipment, the official mentioned that the launch of a subsonic missile can be hindered by modern Russian anti-aircraft systems, and while a small number of such missiles.
