Ukraine has its own ballistics. What are the characteristics of the missile and what is the

Ukraine has developed its own ballistic missile. Probably, during its creation, the experience of the Grom-2 project could be used.

This was stated by Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military and political commentator of the Information Resistance group, in a comment on the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel.

He recalled that in Ukraine, before the start of a full-scale war, the Grim-2 ballistic missile, a project was almost one step away from implementation. But after the invasion of the Russians, they did not forget about such a project, it continues to develop.

“It is quite possible that now this missile (we are talking about Ukrainian ballistics – ed.) will have a completely different name, different characteristics, but the experience from the development of this particular missile was used in this new modification… The question is what characteristics and how we will use it,” Kovalenko said.

He suggested that if the missile was developed on the basis of “Grim-2”, its range could be 500 kilometers. This is an average for ballistic missiles of the operational-tactical level.

“This is the ability to hit targets at distances, for example, somewhere in the distance of Moscow, in Moscow itself. Considering that we are now dismantling truly phenomenal indicators of improvement general characteristics of its means of destruction, then these can be much better characteristics,” the expert added.

He also assumed that the cost of one missile could be up to 5 million. And as of now, Ukraine can conduct individual tests of such ballistics in combat conditions.

What preceded it

Let us remind you that earlier the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted that Ukraine conducted the first successful tests of a ballistic missile of its own production.

Head of State emphasized that he could not disclose detailed information about the missile.
