Ukraine has changed the compensation mechanism for the employment of migrants

The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the compensation program for employers for the employment of internally displaced persons (IDPs). This was reported by press service of Ministry of Economy.
In case of “early” dismissal, the funds will need to be returned.
In total, we have seven million internally displaced persons, for whom the issue of finding a new job is extremely relevant.
According to her, this year, funding for programs to promote the employment of internally displaced persons has been increased by 1.5 times. migrants.
According to the changes made, the employer receives:
1) compensation of labor costs (but not more than two times the minimum wage) for the employment of registered unemployed IDPs on the terms of fixed-term employment contracts lasting no more than six calendar months, while maintaining job security for such a person for a period exceeding the duration of payment in twice;
2) compensation of the employer's expenses for retraining and advanced training of unemployed IDPs employed for a period of at least 12 calendar months. The amount of compensation is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine within the cost of training for retraining and advanced training.
It is also established that in the event of dismissal of an employee for whom compensation was paid before the expiration of the established period for maintaining employment guarantees, the amount of funds paid is returned in full.
The only exception to this – when another registered unemployed person is employed at his workplace by the employer in the direction of the territorial employment center before the expiration of the established period for maintaining employment guarantees.
