The Vancouver Canucks forward’s name put forward Tyler Motte’s name on the injured list on Monday.
According to the TSN 1040 radio station, it would be a lower body injury that will make the 25-year-old American miss a few weeks of activities.
Motte has scored five goals and totaled six points in 15 games since the start of the campaign. He also led the National Hockey League (NHL) in body hitting with 70, before Monday’s duels.
To replace him, the Canucks have recalled Olli Juolevi from the reserve squad. He’s missed the last seven games and has an assist in seven games this season.
The Canucks face the Maple Leafs on Monday night in Toronto.
