Two Zaporizhzhia residents are suspected of treason: they passed information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the enemy

The Zhovtniy District Court of Zaporizhzhia granted the request of the SBU investigator to seize property in the treason case. The suspects are two residents of Zaporizhzhia.

This is reported in the register of court decisions.

The criminal proceedings indicate that the local resident, being a pro-Russian person, voluntarily gave consent to representatives of the aggressor state, the Russian Federation, to carry out subversive activities against Ukraine. He was supposed to collect and transmit information about the locations of military equipment, personnel of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and critical infrastructure facilities.

The man transmitted information to the Russians via messengers regarding the possible location of fuel and lubricant warehouses of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Later it became known that another man, the director of a private company specializing in posting information on websites, was also involved in the case. He also transmitted information about the deployment and movement of Ukrainian military personnel to representatives of the aggressor country. Communication was carried out via the Telegram messenger.

Law enforcement officers conducted a search of the suspect's apartment, during which a mobile phone, system units, seals of a number of enterprises, containers and plants similar to narcotic substances were seized.

The court decided to seize the seized property to preserve material evidence that is important for the investigation.
