Two Ukrainians lost money to Internet scammers

Over the past 24 hours, residents of the Kherson district have lost more than 148 thousand hryvnias while processing alleged cash assistance.

The Kherson region police communications department reports new cases of fraud.

A resident of Kherson contacted the police. The man reported that he received a message in one of the messengers about the quick processing of the payment. He followed an unknown link, entered his personal data, after which the applicant's account was «hacked» and more than 58 thousand hryvnias were withdrawn from his bank accounts.

A resident of the Kherson district also became a victim of fraudsters. An unknown woman called the man and offered to apply for financial assistance. The applicant was required to provide his passport data and bank card details. After these questions, more than 90 thousand hryvnias disappeared from the victim's card.

Currently, the police are taking measures to identify the unknown attackers.
