Firefighters from the Protection Service against the fire in Quebec had to intervene to extinguish two fires in businesses in Quebec, during the night from Friday to Saturday. These two fires turned out to be criminal in nature.
First, firefighters were dispatched around 2 a.m. Saturday to a business located on Boulevard de l'Auvergne, in the Neufchâtel sector.
The Quebec Fire Protection Service (SPCIQ) receives an alarm for smoke alarms and sprinklers in operation in a business on Boulevard de l'Auvergne, communications agent Pierre-Olivier specifies in writing Lévesque.
Firefighters quickly determined that the fire was criminal in nature. The Fire Commissioner was called to the scene as well as the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ).
An investigation is currently underway to shed light on the circumstances of the fire, mentions the communications officer in a press release.
Around 5:50 a.m., the SPVQ received a call for a theft alarm at the Armoires PMM business, located on Provinciale Street, in the Duberger industrial zone.
On their arrival on the scene, patrol officers noted signs of a break-in and the presence of flames in the building.

Firefighters inspected the roof of the building after containing the fire.
Firefighters were quickly dispatched to the business to put the flames under control.
Due to the circumstances, the Fire Department was called to the scene. A second investigation is therefore underway.
The communications officer indicates in his press release that for the two fires there would not have been of propagation.
No link has been established between the two at this stage and two separate investigations have been launched. At this time, there have been no arrests in these two cases.
