Two people fell into a scam trap in Bukovina and lost over 40 thousand hryvnias

During the day, two people from Chernivtsi and Dnistrovsky districts became victims of fraudsters.

On January 7, a 64-year-old Chernivtsi resident contacted the police and reported that an unknown person had lured him out of almost 36 thousand hryvnias. This was reported by the MA ACC with reference to the communications department of the Chernivtsi regional police.

A 38-year-old resident of Sokyryan also fell into a fraudulent scheme when buying a sewing machine. She sent the pseudo-seller the full cost of the goods – 7 thousand hryvnias, after which the unknown person has not been in touch.

The police are conducting pre-trial investigations.
