Two in one: Poland has developed the newest UAV — a scout that can be an artilleryman

X-FRONTER — a drone weighing just over one kilogram that can be placed in a backpack, is positioned as a revolutionary weapon for infantry, providing both reconnaissance and strike capabilities in a compact format.

As claimed by the developers of the aircraft from the Polish company WB Electronics, this UAV significantly expands the user's situational awareness, while giving him the opportunity to safely observe quickly changing situations on the battlefield or in&nbsp to a different environment, reports ArmyInform.

One of the main features of X-FRONTER is the use of a military-grade encrypted communication line to control it. This technology provides stable communication protected from jamming attempts, which allows the drone to effectively perform reconnaissance and strike tasks at a distance of several kilometers from the operator. With this level of protection, infantry units can rely on the X-FRONTER for surveillance and precision attacks in difficult combat environments.

X-FRONTER is capable of carrying a small explosive payload, including thermobaric, fragmentation and cumulative warheads. This ability makes it not only a reconnaissance tool, but also an effective means of inflicting pinpoint strikes on the enemy.

In addition, the design of the drone allows it to be easily adapted for various missions, including additional modules such as: infrared markers, devices for installing smoke curtains and  other technical innovations.

Another important technology implemented in X-FRONTER is the ability to perform swarm operations. This drone can work in a group with other drones, dividing the tasks between them.

For example, several X-FRONTER can perform reconnaissance, while other drones equipped with explosives act as mobile artillery, striking the enemy. This significantly expands the tactical capabilities of infantry on the battlefield.

The design of the drone from the Polish manufacturer in the folded state resembles a PET bottle in size and shape, which makes it easy to carry it with you. The drone is able to develop a speed of up to 60 kilometers per hour and climb to a height of up to 300 meters.

In the unfolded state, the X-FRONTER is quite a classic quadcopter, i.e. a four-rotor aircraft with symmetrically located "shoulders" around the cylindrical fuselage. His "hands" with stationary installed engines and propellers are hidden right in the body, thanks to which both transportation and preparation for flight happen quickly and problemlessly, and the absence of protruding elements prevents their damage during transportation.

Flight time is up to 40 minutes, which provides infantry units with significant operational flexibility. This flight duration allows the drone to perform long missions, providing reliable support to the troops in various situations.

X-FRONTER — is a versatile tool that can significantly increase the combat capabilities of infantry units. Thanks to its compact dimensions, high mobility, encrypted communication and ability to operate in swarms, this drone becomes an indispensable tool for performing a wide range of tasks on the battlefield.
