Two Chinese arrested in Oslo for unauthorized drone launch

Norwegian police arrested two people accused of flying drones within a no-fly zone in central Oslo on the afternoon of Thursday, January 2.

This is reported by “European Truth” with reference to NTB.

The Oslo police said that both were arrested – they are Chinese citizens, they are about 30 years old.

“Both were taken into custody, and the drone equipment was seized. Their intentions are still unclear, but further investigation will be aimed at clarifying this and what the punishment will be,” – law enforcement officers added.

Recently, there have been several arrests in Norway of people who launched drones over military facilities or in prohibited areas. Some of them were later deported from the country.

Previously, it was also reported about the trial of the man who launched the drone during Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Oslo in December 2023.
