Once the limit established for the registration of candidate lists for this year's municipal and regional elections has expired, 12 candidates for mayor of Lima carried out this procedure before the National Elections Jury (JNE), according to the institution's official website.

According to the original schedule of the electoral process, the term of the candidate registration system was until June 14. However, that day the JNE extended it for 72 hours, until June 17. This was due to the fact that different political parties had reported delays in the virtual table of parts of the electoral body.

After this extension, a search in the lists of provincial candidates of the JNE electoral platform shows that the parties presented a dozen formulas for Metropolitan Lima.
