Turkish developers announced the successful testing of the new Hürkuş-II combat aircraft

The new Turkish training aircraft Hürkuş-II successfully completed its first flight — it became an important milestone in the development of the Turkish aviation industry. The flight took place as part of the modernization program of training aircraft, which is implemented by the company TAI (Turkish Aerospace Industries), writes Military.

Hürkuş-II — is an improved version of the previous Hürkuş model, equipped with modern avionics and improved flight characteristics. The aircraft is designed for training pilots at the basic and intermediate stages of training. It is equipped with a turboprop engine, a digital cockpit and integrated systems for simulating combat conditions.

Thanks to its improved maneuverability and reliability, the Hürkuş-II will be able to perform a wide range of tasks, including training missions and supporting the operations of the security forces. In addition, the aircraft can be adapted to carry light weapons, which expands its functionality.

TAI states that the Hürkuş-II has great export prospects. Several countries have already shown interest in purchasing this aircraft for their air forces. In particular, the emphasis is on competitive price and availability of maintenance.

The serial production of the Hürkuş-II is expected to begin in 2025, after the completion of the flight test program. The success of this model highlights Turkey's growing technological potential in aviation and strengthens its position in the international military equipment market.
