Turkey Baykar tested the new

Turkish defense company Baykar successfully tested the new cruise missile Kemankes 2. About this is Baykar reported on Facebook.

Testing took place with the help of a car that was used as a launch platform. After reaching the required speed, the rocket flew into the air and demonstrated its capabilities.

Kemankes 2 can stay in the air for up to an hour and has a flight range of about 200 kilometers. Thanks to the optical guidance system, which works together with artificial intelligence, the missile can destroy targets with high accuracy even in difficult weather conditions.

The missile is resistant to electronic interference, which increases its effectiveness in combat conditions. Kemankes 2 has a length of 2.5 meters, a wingspan of 1.4 meters, and a maximum weight of 70 kg, of which 20 kg is the warhead.

The cruise speed of the missile reaches 735 km/h, and the maximum height flight – 8200 meters. The missile is equipped with a liquid fuel engine, which allows it to fly autonomously for 60 minutes with the help of an autopilot.

Kemankes 2 can be integrated with unmanned aerial vehicles manufactured by Baykar, such as Bayraktar Akinci, TB-2 and TB-3.
