Turkey tests drones Bayraktar TB3 for Landing Ships

UAV take-off tests are conducted using a springboard, simulating the deck of the Anadolu Universal Landing Craft (UDC).

The Turkish developer of unmanned of Baykar aircraft is carrying out flight tests of Bayraktar TB3 drones, which will be placed on landing ships. “Military” writes about this.

During the tests, a springboard imitating the deck of the UDC Anadolu was used. The springboard has an angle of inclination of 12 degrees, which simulates the landing strip of a landing craft.

The drone managed to take off successfully in four tests, which confirmed its ability to be used from the deck of the ship.

According to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Anadolu is to become the first ship in the world to be equipped exclusively with unmanned systems of various classes.
