Turkey has been issuing long-term residence permits to Crimean Tatars since the beginning of August. The decision was made on the initiative of Interior Minister Suleiman Soil in June 2022, Anadolu reports.

The status of Crimean Tatars was recognized "compatriots with Turkic roots". Previously, only Meskhetian Turks, Uighurs and ethnic Turks from Bulgaria and Greece fell under it.

Other foreigners need to permanently reside in the country to obtain a long-term residence permit in Turkey eight years. Since 2002, about 102,000 Meskhetian Turks and about 6,800 Uighurs have received Turkish citizenship.

Earlier, BAGNET reported that Turkey after the end of the war&nbsp ;will help to restore the Kharkiv region of Ukraine.< /p>
