Turkey presented new “drone hunters” at an exhibition in Istanbul

The Turkish defense company ASELSAN presented new anti-drone systems at the SAHAEXPO 2024 international defense exhibition held in Istanbul.

This is reported by the correspondent of Ukrinform.

“We keep a close eye on the changing conditions and growing threats on the battlefield in today's world and develop advanced systems with high adaptability. We are witnessing the increasingly widespread use of drones in operations, and our anti-drone systems, where new capabilities have been added, will offer their users an advantage in eliminating threats related to UAVs, – said ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol at the presentation.

Among those presented are anti-drone systems: the KORKUT 25 mm short-range air defense system, the BUKALEMUN decoy system, the KANGAL-FPV anti-drone system and the SEDA 100-cUAV acoustic detection system.

The KORKUT 25 mm can be mounted on wheeled and tracked vehicles and provides a high level of protection on the battlefield thanks to its high-resolution cameras, laser range finder and automatic target detection functions. These systems enable protection against both large and medium, as well as mini and micro drones, as well as drone clouds.

BUKALEMUN provides effective protection against drone threats in the tactical space thanks to its ability to deceive in GNSS ranges. It is able to change the location of drones on the operator's screen.

KANGAL-FPV is designed to protect military objects’, bases, government institutions and places of ceremonies from mini UAVs.

The SEDA 100-cUAV can detect fixed-wing and rotary-wing UAV threats using microphones at various distances. Can also detect FPV drones from long distances. When used together, the KANGAL and SEDA systems can provide sustained resistance to short- and medium-range drone attacks.
