Trump will sign a decree on the creation of an analogue of the "Iron Dome" in the US - Pentagon chief

US President Donald Trump is initiating the creation of a missile defense system similar to the Israeli «Iron Dome».

This was stated by US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, quoted by the New York Post.

According to the head of the Pentagon, the corresponding decree will be signed by Trump in the near future.

Hegseth did not disclose what weapons will be used to create such a system. Thus, the American company Raytheon has already developed a corresponding air defense system SkyHunter, which can be manufactured in the United States.

At the same time, the manufacturer of the «Iron Dome» Rafael, associated with the Israeli government, is also ready to consider the possibility of adapting the system to protect a country the size of the United States.

The head of the Pentagon added that Trump plans to sign some other decrees aimed at making changes in the American army. This is, in particular, a document that cancels equality and inclusion programs in the Armed Forces.
