Transmitted data on the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and monitored the territory of "Nibulon": a resident of Mykolaiv was sentenced to 15 years

A resident of Mykolaiv for money transmitted data on the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to a Russian agent and monitored the territory of the enterprise “Nibulon”. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

This is reported by the Center for Journalistic Investigations with reference to the court verdict.

The court found that Yegorov Volodymyr Olegovich, a native of Mykolaiv, worked for an unidentified representative of the Russian Federation in January and February 2024.

«He provided him with information about the locations of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and also monitored the territory of the company «Nibulon» and the water area of the Southern Bug River» using video surveillance cameras, — the publication writes.

It was also noted that the man installed a previously purchased video surveillance camera on February 5, 2024, on the industrial and working tower No. 9 of the Nibulon grain storage facility.

«The convict managed to send the Russian agent three screenshots from the Google Maps application, which contained the exact coordinates of the reserve officer training faculty, where the Ukrainian servicemen were stationed», — added in the message.

The publication indicated that for his work, Volodymyr Yegorov received 6 thousand hryvnias from the Russians on January 17, 2024, and another 10 thousand hryvnias on January 31, 2024.

Vladimir Yegorov pleaded guilty in court in full, but refused to testify.

The court found him guilty of high treason under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The verdict — 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property owned by the convicted person, it has not yet entered into legal force.
