Transformers were set on fire: a group of minors was exposed in the Mykolaiv region

Under the procedural guidance of juvenile prosecutors of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, four minors were exposed and reported on suspicion of committing sabotage by a group of persons in a preliminary conspiracy (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, 14- and 15-year-old residents of the village of Kryve Ozero of the Pervomay district received an “order” via Telegram. from unidentified persons, presumably representatives of the special services of the Russian Federation. For a monetary reward, they were supposed to set fire to buildings, structures and other objects of important agricultural or strategic importance.

At the instruction of «customers» teenagers chose an object, photographed it, and after obtaining permission for destruction, poured gasoline on it and set it on fire. They recorded their actions on video and sent them to customers. For each damaged object, they received $300 in an electronic wallet, after which they shared the money among themselves.

Thus, minors damaged five transformer substations.

During the court-sanctioned searches, mobile phones, SIM cards and bank cards used to communicate with customers were seized from the suspects.

At the request of the prosecution, the court chose a preventive measure for the teenagers in the form of 24-hour house arrest.

The sanction of the article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to fifteen years.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the SBU in the Mykolaiv region, operational support is provided by the State Security Service in the Mykolaiv region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
