(St. Louis) Torey Krug scored his first goal for the St. Louis Blues and his team defeated the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 on Saturday night.
Krug, who signed a seven-year contract in October, scored the Blues’ first power play goal this season. On this streak, Ryan O’Reilly got a 100e mention of assistance in the Blues uniform.
The St. Louis team started the game without scoring in 14 power-play attempts. She had hit the target five times in her last six power-play against the Kings, however.
David Perron had a goal and an assist as Vince Dunn and Jaden Schwartz added a goal for the Blues, who are 3-1-1 this season. Jordan Binnington stopped 21 pucks.
Adrian Kempe and Dustin Brown responded for the Kings, who were playing their first away game this season. Calvin Petersen made his second start of the campaign and blocked 25 shots.
The two teams were nose to nose when Dunn fired a wrist shot that stole Petersen’s vigilance. A few minutes later, Perron gave the Blues a two-goal lead.
