American magazine Consumer Reports has just published its list of the most popular vehicles for consumers in 2021.
To achieve this, the team surveyed owners of some 369,000 vehicles and measured their satisfaction with the ride, comfort, storage, electronics and value for money. Then, she calculated the percentage of people who would choose the same vehicle again on a future purchase.
The results are therefore a measure of the satisfaction rate, but they do not take into account criteria such as safety in collisions and long-term reliability. In other words, a vehicle can be highly regarded by its owners, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best buy.
When looking at the most beloved car brands in 2021, Tesla tops the list of Consumer Reports, followed by Lincoln, Ram and Chrysler. Surprised? Subaru and Hyundai are tied for fifth place… ahead of Porsche!
