On May 6, the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute ball, known as Met Gala 2024, was held in New York. World stars presented their creative and fashionable looks at the event. Radio Maximum shows the most original outfits.
The theme of the event was called “Sleeping beauties: the awakening of fashion”, and the organizers called the dress code “Garden of Time”. That is why the stars appeared in images with flowers or with bizarre curls.

The authorship of this image belongs to the brand Balmain, and the jewelry worn by the star is from the jewelry brand Cartier. Her bustier dress has puffed sleeves adorned with glass birds. It is made of thin organza, which the masters of the atelier manually covered with four layers of resin to create the effect of glass blend.

Kim Kardashian surprised everyone with a very narrow waist in a corset. She was wearing a translucent dress decorated with metallic leaves.

Lana Del Rey brought a red rose with her, and her image resembles a bush of flowers. The dress by Alexander McQueen is sand-colored, decorated with branches, and the veil resembles a spider web.

Undoubtedly, the show was stolen by Zendaya, who appeared on the red carpet in a couture Maison Margiela outfit and makeup that referred to the beauty images created by Pat McGrath.

The performer chose a Balmain dress for the event. The girl and her team interpreted the theme of the event “Garden of Time” literally and decided to take the word “time” as a basis in her image and create an outfit from sand.
Atelier Balmain developed a unique application technique for the dress , which used sand and micro-crystals pressed directly onto fabric formed from a plaster model of a star's bodice. The strapless dress hugged every centimeter of the singer's body, and then turned into a “mermaid” train made of organza.

She appeared at the Met Gala in a 1999 Alexander McQueen for Givenchy haute couture vintage see-through dress with beaded sleeves. The collection was presented on mannequins and was never shown on the catwalk. Until today, this outfit was kept in the Givenchy archives, where it returned after the event.

Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez, who is co-chairing the Met Gala this year along with Anna Wintour, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Zendaya, appeared in front of photographers in a tight transparent dress by Schiaparelli. It features a dramatic sculpted bust and plunging neckline and is hand-embellished with 2.5 million silver foil beads.

Emily Ratajkowski
No less amazing was the image of model Emily Ratajkowski. She appeared at the event in a transparent mini dress with accent blue inserts. Her underwear was visible underneath, but Emily was not at all embarrassed by it, as was everyone present.

Nicole Kidman
But Nicole Kidman's stylists chose the iconic couture dress created more than 70 years ago by Cristobal Balenciaga. First seen in Balenciaga's spring/summer collection in 1951, the black and white outfit has now become an immortal fashion classic.
