The Verkhovna Rada talked about the partial decriminalization of pornography.
People's deputy from “Holos” Yaroslav Zheleznyak said that “it's definitely better than taking a bribe,” UNN reported.
"This is a person's choice. But it is definitely better than, like some of our political prostitutes, taking bribes and embezzling from Energoat – it definitely causes more damage,", – said the People's Deputy.
Currently, according to Zheleznyak, everyone who is registered on such platforms as OnlyFans and provides content of an erotic or pornographic nature should be punished by law – they can be imprisoned for three years.
Partial decriminalization will change the situation, he said.
"They will not be imprisoned. A law enforcement officer will not come to them, or to this girl in particular, tomorrow and say, “either you pay me 200-500 dollars, or you and I make love,” to put it mildly. And now they do so. And this is a problem,", – said the People's Deputy.
The People's Deputy also emphasized that this is only about voluntary actions by adults.
According to Zheleznyak, the OnlyFans platform pays taxes in Ukraine, and in just half a year they paid UAH 34 million in taxes that went to the army. And this platform is just one of many.
Nardep also spoke about the “Teronlifans” volunteer movement, which collected more than UAH 31 million to help the army.
"They already pay taxes, and all these girls and boys who registered there, according to the law, we have to be imprisoned for three years. And the people who looted Energoatom will, at best, be imprisoned for two. I think it's somehow unfair. True, they stole a billion in one of the main schemes and areas for Ukraine. And others showed their naked body with their own consent, earning money. Some kind of dissonance comes out”, – said the people's deputy. Železnyak said that many of his colleagues in the parliament support the idea.
“It seems to me that our parliament, as the youngest parliament in the world, should be sufficiently liberal. We have already had votes for the Istanbul Convention and even for the legalization of medical cannabis. At least something was changing there, but here we simply fix the status quo and remove frank schizophrenia. Therefore, I know that many colleagues support the idea of a working group,", – said.
Earlier, Zheleznyak announced that the draft law proposes to revise the articles of the Criminal Code.
Last year in August, a petition to the president on the legalization of pornographic activities in Ukraine received 25,000 votes, necessary for its consideration .
In September, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the petition. The head of state instructed Prime Minister Denys Shmygal to work out this issue.
It should be noted that articles of the CCU, which violate human rights, led to absolutely wild cases.
For example, the Ternopil City District Court found a 20-year-old Ukrainian woman guilty of manufacturing, selling and distributing pornographic items. For the sale of the first photo, which she sold through the social network for UAH 200, he was sentenced to a month's arrest, and for the repeated episode (the Ukrainian woman earned UAH 350) he was sentenced to 3 years in prison. In the end, he released her from serving the main sentence with probation, imposing a one-year probationary period on her.
The woman was charged for the state's expenses for conducting forensic examinations — and this is UAH 1,784. 84 kopecks Which is almost three times more than she earned.
