The Casio company presented its first smart ring, and it turned out to be truly original. In fact, it is a tiny digital watch that is worn on the finger and shows the time.
The design of the novelty is inspired by the legendary G-Shock 5000. The Verge writes about it.
The Japanese company created an accessory in the style of her famous wristwatch and even equipped it with a miniature display. The release of the gadget is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Casio's entry into the digital watch market.
Casio has built a six-segment LCD screen with backlight into the tiny ring body, which fully displays the time. There are also three physical buttons with which you can control the display of the date and time in another time zone, as well as start the timer and stopwatch. There is also an alarm function.

The ring is powered by a replaceable battery that lasts for about two years. The device is completely waterproof. The company's approach to the versatility of the accessory deserves special attention. The American ring size is 10.5, but can be adjusted using the included silicone pads depending on the thickness of the finger.
The Casio CRW-001-1JR will be available in Japan in December for a price of 19,800 yen, which is approximately $128.
Recall that Casio recently released a reissue of its famous calculator watch, a bedside clock in an iconic design and a furry robot.
