Time magazine recognized Diya as one of the world's best inventions for its online marriage service

Time magazine

According to the American Time magazine, the Ukrainian portal “Diya” has become one of the best inventions in the world.

This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, of the Development of Education, Science and Technology, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

Every year “Time” selects 200 inventions that change the world. “Deed” was included in the Time Best Inventions 2024 in the “Applications and software” category.

The award was given to online marriage, the world's first fully digital marriage process, the message says.< /p>

The corresponding TIME ranking during the presentation of “The Action” describes the procedure of getting married through the app.

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

Since September, citizens of Ukraine can get married in the most unusual way: through Diia, an application for the whole country, which has more than 20 million users. The system is simple, if not romantic: One of the partners makes a proposal through the application, and the other receives a message. If the other party says yes within 14 days, they agree on a wedding date via a video call on the Webex platform, says TIME. – This may seem like an ascetic way of declaring love, but it was designed to help many Ukrainian couples who are physically separated due to Russia's invasion of the country to continue living.

As Fedorov notes, commenting on the rating, the digital state , which began with the idea of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, is proving its effectiveness in international ratings not for the first time. In 5 years, “Diya” went from an application with documents to a real SuperApp.

Fedorov noted that OpenAI GPT-4, Zoom and Duolingo received this award.

Thanks to the team working 24/7 to achieve these results and of course to the users. You are the drivers of transformation, you support our ideas, use our services, make memes about them, show the “Action” to foreigners. You constantly give feedback, not always positive, critical, and that's right, because we always listen to you in order to become better, the minister emphasized.

We remind you that six new services will soon be available in the “Diya” application .
