According to the majority of US residents, the appearance of young people in elected office will be a positive factor for American politics.
Nearly three-quarters of US citizens (73%) think an age limit should be set for politicians running in elections.
This is evidenced by the results of a sociological survey conducted by the American television channel CBS.
According to sociologists, support for the age limit for officials who vote in elections is the same is high among supporters of the Democratic (71%), Republican parties (75%), as well as adherents of other political forces (75%).
The majority of respondents (40%) believe that elected politicians should not be older than 70 years old, 26% are over 60 years old, 18% are over 80 years old.
In addition, Americans believe that the election of a larger youth (47%), women (45%), racial groups (41%) and the LGBT community (32%). Only 12% spoke about the positive result of electing more older people.
