“Thoughts Inside Out 2” became the highest-grossing cartoon in the history of cinema

During the first six weeks of release, “Thoughts Inside Out 2” earned $601 million in the US domestic market and another $861 million abroad.

The cartoon “Thoughts Inside Out 2” from the studio Disney and Pixar became the highest-grossing animated film in history. This is reported by Variety.

The cartoon about Riley's emotions overtook the previous leader – “Frozen Heart 2”, which in 2019 had $1.45 billion at the box office and became the highest-grossing in the history of animated films.

< p>In addition, “Inside Out” surpassed “Barbie” ($1.446 billion) to become the 13th highest-grossing film of all time in terms of worldwide ticket sales.

The production of “Thoughts Inside Out 2” cost $200 million.

Comedy family cartoon “Thoughts inside out 2” is a continuation of the 2015 cartoon of the same name. The project is produced by Pixar Animation Studio, distributed by Walt Disney Pictures.

This is the second feature-length project for director Kelsey Mann after “The Good Dinosaur” (2015). The script was written by Meg Le Fauve, who at one time also worked on the first part. According to the creators, to create the film, they were guided by the idea that a person is controlled by 5 to 27 emotions.

In the center of the plot is 13-year-old Riley. With the onset of adolescence, Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust were joined by new emotions. Now the girl's decisions and reactions will also be influenced by Anxiety, Confusion, Envy, Anger and Nostalgia.
