American actor and singer Jared Leto, leader of the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, at a concert in Serbia called the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine “these problems” and expressed his desire to speak in St. Petersburg and Moscow.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine was outraged by his words. This is stated in the commentary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At a concert in Serbia, Jared Leto asked the audience if there were many Russians among them, because he allegedly felt “a lot of Russian energy”. He also said that when “these problems are over,” meaning the Russian-Ukrainian war, he wants to hold concerts in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Kyiv.

<p class=I miss you guys, you know it. I will tell you that one day, when all these problems are over, we will meet you in your homeland. You know, we will return to Serbia, we are going to go to St. Petersburg, Moscow, stop in Kyiv. We're going to have parties and hang out with everyone, okay? It should be so, said Leto.

Such words caused criticism, in particular from Ukrainian users of social networks. He is condemned for downplaying the war by using the word “problems”.

Jared Leto's sense of “Russian energy” and his desire to perform in Russia is an insult to those who sacrifice their lives to defend freedom. There can be no appeasement of Russia when it continues to try to solve the “problem” of Ukraine's existence, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry commented on this statement of the executor.

We note that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Jared Leto supported Ukraine. In March 2022, he held a live broadcast on his official Instagram page and talked with Ukrainians to tell the world about what is happening in Ukraine.
