Will be priced like a smartphone: In September, inexpensive laptops on Windows will come to the market, – insider

In early September, a new generation of laptops based on the architecture is expected to be presented at the IFA 2024 exhibition Arm with Windows operating system. According to information from the well-known insider Evan Blass, these devices will be equipped with an 8-core system on the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus chip and will have an estimated cost of around $800.

The new laptops promise to combine the high performance of Windows devices with exceptional energy efficiency, characteristic of the Arm platform. The Snapdragon X Plus is expected to have four powerful cores and four energy-efficient cores manufactured on TSMC's 4-nanometer process.

Although full specifications have not yet been revealed, the new SoC is expected to have 30MB of cache and graphics processor with a performance of 1.7 TFLOPS. It is likely that the laptops will be equipped with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD, but this information needs to be confirmed.

It is worth noting that Evan Blass has a reputation as a reliable source of information. In the past, he has accurately predicted the appearance of many devices, including models from Sony, Samsung, Xiaomi and other manufacturers, even before their official announcements.
