They resemble the Ukrainian Magura V5: the US Navy will receive Swift Sea-Stalker maritime drones

Swift Sea-Stalker drones are capable of traveling 1,000 nautical miles, carrying a payload of up to 680 kg, the manufacturer claims.

The American company Swiftships has been awarded a contract to supply its Swift Sea-Stalker (S3 USV) attack drones to the US Navy. This is discussed on the official website of the Swiftships company.

It is reported that the Swift Sea-Stalker was developed specifically for the Surface Warfare Center of the US Navy. Drones are designed for surveillance and interception, especially in waters of conflict regions around the world.

“These vessels represent the latest development in the field of unmanned surface vessels, providing unparalleled versatility and effectiveness in security operations,” — said the CEO of the company, Tim Carter.

According to the manufacturer, Swift Sea-Stalker drones are equipped with advanced technologies that allow to effectively monitor and respond to threats along the coastlines.

Technical characteristics of Swift Sea-Stalker:

  • maximum speed — 45 knots;
  • range — 1000 nautical miles;
  • duration of sailing — 40 hours;
  • engines — Yanmar 4LV230 and Hamilton HJ-213;
  • maximum payload — 680 kg;
  • body — strong marine-grade aluminum 5086.

As notes Ukrainian Shipping Magazine, the new Swift Sea-Stalker maritime drone resembles the Ukrainian Magura V5 attack drone, which the Defense Forces of Ukraine use in the war against the Russian Federation.
