They produced fakes under the guise of world brands - counterfeiters will be tried in Bukovina

They sold the finished products in the markets of the Chernivtsi region and via the Internet.

Prosecutors of the Chernivtsi Regional Prosecutor's Office submitted an indictment against two local residents to the court.

They are charged with illegal use of a trademark for goods and services, which caused material damage in large amounts.

According to the investigation, the defendants, not having a permit to carry out economic activities, they established a shadow business for the production and sale of counterfeit coffee, spices and food additives of Ukrainian and world brands.

They sold the finished products in the markets of the Chernivtsi region and via the Internet.

During searches of warehouses, underground production facilities and retail outlets, production lines and counterfeit products were seized: coffee, ground black pepper and gelatin.

Companies-owners of trademarks suffered damage of almost 800 thousand. UAH.

The pre-trial investigation in the above-mentioned proceedings was carried out by detectives of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in Chernivtsi region with operational support from the Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in Chernivtsi region.
