The defense of opposition leader Luis Fernando Camacho, detained for the events of the 2019 crisis in Bolivia, denounced this Thursday that a hidden camera was found in his cell, something that He said it is a “serious violation” of his privacy since he received his wife several times in that space.
The lawyer Martín Camacho told the media that in a communication with Fátima Jordán, wife of the governor of Santa Cruz, one of the few people authorized to enter her cell, it was found that “they have found the camera” and that she “has it in her possession”.
The lawyer explained that Governor Camacho's wife also pointed out that some officials at the Chonchocoro prison told her that “they are going to help her” and that they are “going to give her some benefits” if she does not file a complaint.
“It is a serious violation of the right to privacy and also to the right of women, understanding that his wife has the right to visit him and has been permanently in that room”, remarked the lawyer.
