The whole of Poland was shocked by the information about an extremely malnourished 3.5-year-old girl who was taken to a hospital in Zielona Góra. As the “Goniec” portal reminds us, the child weighed only 8 kilograms, although she should have weighed twice as much. Doctors are fighting for her life, meanwhile more and more information about the girl's parents is reaching the media.

3.5-year-old girl fighting for her life

On Sunday, December 15, an extremely malnourished girl was admitted to the Zielona Góra hospital. The 3.5-year-old weighed only 8 kg, which is the average weight of a child less than one year old. Representatives of the prosecutor's office, which is handling the case, reported that the parents decided to bring their daughter to the doctor because contact with her was very difficult.

The doctors decided to transfer the girl to the intensive care unit, where they are fighting for the girl's life. The child is being fed and hydrated there, although for her well-being, it was decided to do it gradually.

The prosecutor's office decided to detain the parents of the 3.5-year-old for 48 hours. Both were questioned and the court decided to issue them with a Blue Card. The media is receiving more shocking information about the child's parents.

It turned out that the 3.5-year-old was fed only breast milk and grapes. All as part of a very “restrictive fruit diet”. According to the findings of journalists from “Gazeta Lubuska”, the girl's mother is a vegan. The prosecutor's office also reported that the girl's parents did not consent to mandatory vaccinations.

The prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into the child's exposure to direct risk of loss of life or health. “It is known that the family lived in some hiding, so few people could have known about it” – adds prosecutor Ewa Antonowicz, spokeswoman for the prosecutor's office investigating the case.

The “Pościgi” website indicates that the girl's father is a retired police officer. Before retiring two years ago, he worked at the police headquarters in Zielona Góra.
