These mistakes will drain your smartphone in no time: what to avoid

Users often make three mistakes that significantly reduce the time of operation of the device without recharging, even if you constantly charge the phone to 100% – by the way, this should not be done. If the smartphone quickly loses charge, the following points may be the reason.

Why does the phone discharge quickly — reasons

First of all, protect the device from extreme temperatures. High temperature has a particularly negative effect on the battery, reducing its efficiency. For example, Apple and Samsung recommend using their devices at temperatures between 0 and 35 degrees for optimal performance.

The second common mistake is constant charging to 100%. Experts advise to charge the phone up to 80% and not allow the discharge below 20%. These measures will help prolong the life of the battery, as constantly reaching the maximum charge level can accelerate its wear.

The third thing to avoid – this is night charging. Leaving the smartphone connected to the network for a long time can overload the battery, especially when it is already charged to 100%. The best solution – disconnect the phone from the charger as soon as the charge level reaches the maximum.

How to increase the battery life of the phone — tips

In addition to these basic tips, there are a few more methods. They will help increase the period before the device needs to be charged.

To do this:

  • turn on the GPS, NFC and Bluetooth functions only when you use them;
  • regularly install updates – they often contain improvements that help reduce power consumption;
  • turn on the power saving feature, which is available on most modern smartphones;
  • reduce the screen brightness when possible.

Following these recommendations every day will not only increase the performance of your phone, but also extend the life of the battery, ensuring the reliability and usability of your gadget for a long time. Modern technologies allow you to significantly extend the battery life of your device if you take care of it properly and avoid common mistakes.
