The 2022/23 season will be remembered as one of the most atypical in recent years, since for the first time in history a Soccer World Cup will abruptly interrupt the calendar for a month. This forced the leagues to make changes, the teams to prepare for the return at the end of December and the beginning of January, and some players to get ready to play the most important soccer tournament on the planet in an unusual month.

The last few years have not been conventional when it comes to football. In 2020 a pandemic forced the leagues to stop while the players trained at home: the final phase of the Champions League was played in a single country, a single game and without an audience in the stands. In 2021 normality began to recover, little by little people returned to the stadiums and by the end of the season the game was just as it was remembered before the arrival of COVID.

However, in this new season a situation arose that prevented the leagues from developing completely normally. The World Cup in Qatar 2022, one of the most anticipated events by sports fans, comes in a month in which it is not customary to take place since it will take place between November and December. This forced many of the leagues around the globe to have to modify their calendars, the most affected being the European ones.
