Fallon clarified that there is a big difference between people who are rude and violent themselves, and real psychopaths.
When Russia* invaded Ukraine, the whole world wondered if Putin, the warmonger, had gone mad? What is the head of the Kremlin hiding?
Psychiatry professor James Fallon has long studied psychopaths in politics. And in an interview with the German Focus magazine, he gave the head of the Kremlin a clear diagnosis. Dr. Fallon of the University of California, watching Putin, is convinced that Putin is a psychopath.
He noted that he had remotely researched many dictators, especially Putin, for many years. In addition, he held conversations with a dozen people who have known him personally for a very long time and well. “The textbook definition of a psychopath fits Putin perfectly,” the doctor said, adding that he does not use the term lightly.
As Fallon stated, the word “psychopath” is thoughtlessly thrown around at every turn. “The term has become convenient to describe people who you just don't like or behave disgustingly,” the doctor noted.
However, there is a big difference between people who behave rudely and violently and real psychopaths. The first is US President Donald Trump. But his behavior doesn't make him a psychopath.
